2022 Alumnae Recruitment Reference Information

2020 introduced a new Delta Gamma electronic reference form that includes information previously not required.

Additionally, collegians are requesting ALL recommendations be completed electronically since houses are empty and the recruitment team will have no access to mail.

What you’ll need to complete a packet:

    • date of birth
    • social media handles
    • high school name, GPA, class rank (if applicable) and class size
  • Parents’ name(s), addresses, where they went to college and if they were in a fraternity/sorority

What about Letters of Support?

Letters of Support are personalized letters that offer unique information, going beyond information included in the sponsorship form.  These should only be acquired and sent if the alumna personally knows the PNM.  Letters of support should be sent directly to the DG membership records officer at the PNMs university.

What’s the deadline?

The answer will always be “the sooner the better” to give the collegians as much time as possible.  However, recommendations should be completed one week before the Panhellenic work week of that Collegiate Chapter.

Will recruitment be live or virtual this year?

Great question and the answer is, we don’t know.  The decision will be made by each university’s administration and will be communicated to the PNMs when the universities make a decision.  Like last year, the decision will be based on the safety of the women.

What about Legacies?

In case you didn’t hear, Delta Gamma announced a new policy last year.

“Delta Gamma still recognized legacies.  A legacy is the daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter or sister (inclusion of step-relations for all) of an initiated member.  Legacies within Delta Gamma will still be celebrated but they will no longer receive preferential treatments as a potential new member.  Once a bid is offered the new member’s DG relative can embrace their legacy but until they become a Delta Gamma new member by the chapter’s choice, they are equal to all other potential new members”.

Please be sure to complete the legacy portion of the recommendation.
